One of the hardest finds I’ve had so far is shampoo. I just can’t seem to find a safe shampoo that I like. I’ve tried many only to discover that I don’t like them or they have too high of a safety rating on Skin Deep.
So I decided to make a list of safe shampoos that I can find locally to use next time I’m out shopping. Here’s a list of shampoos rated 2 or less on Skin Deep that you should be able to find around town followed by the Hazard Rating on Skin Deep.
- Burt’s Bees: sold just about everywhere.
- Outdoor Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar (0)
- Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash – Fragrance Free (1)
- California Baby: Try Babies R Us or Target
- Shampoo & Body Wash in Calendula, Calming, Super Sensitive, Swimmer’s Defense and Tea Tree & Lavender (1)
- Yes to Carrots: I’ve seen this brand at Target and Walgreens.
- Nourishing Shampoo (1)
- Aubrey Organics: Whole Foods carries this line.
- Egyptian Henna Shine – Enhancing Clean Rinse (2)
- Swimmers Normalizing Shampoo for Active Lifestyles (2)
- Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo (2)
- Blue Chamomile Hydrating Shampoo (2)
- GPB Glycogen Protein Balancing Shampoo (2)

- J.A.Y. Desert Herb Revitalizing Shampoo (2)

Have you tried any of these brands? Did you like them?
